What kind of gear oil for 2003 rm 85 - 2003 Suzuki RM 125

  • Jerald Scott fish Jun 05, 2016

    Can I use Honda pro 80/85w is my 2003 rm100cc 2 stroke gear box/transmission?

  • Jerald Scott fish Jun 05, 2016

I'm not sure if it has to be a certain brand of oil for Suzuki engine, as long as it's the same weight I can still use correct? Like in my Honda Cr 125 I use the gear saver bel Ray. Is it ok to use Honda brand in Suzuki. Should make any difference correct?

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell.

Use TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL in the pump. If not using an automatic oil pump, then mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil.

What kind of oil does my 2003 rm 125 need

For the gas tank= 2-stroke motor oil mixed at 32:1 *stock mixing ratio* [that's 32-parts gas to 1-part oil]. **[I personally use a 40:1 mixture for trail riding,..and 50:1 mixture for racing at the local MX track].

2004 rm 85, 2 stroke

The silcolene does not burn as well as standard two stroke oil. The unburned oil has to go somewhere and out the exhaust is it. Get a new gasket anyway. It should help.

What kind of crankcase oil does it take?

Bel Ray Gear saver for two strokes is good stuff. Available at any bike dealer. You can also use regular motor oil (10-40w) but I've had great luck with the Bel ray. It's synthetic and made for that application.

How much oil do i need to put in the engine of my 1987 suzuki rm 250?

It should be stamped on the right side of the engine case. If not most 250s require between .75 and .85 liters
