When first start runs good does not run hot when warmed up it will stall try to restart engine sounds like dont want to turn over let cool down 20 min starts right up full power then same thing warms up and dies taken to many garages hook up to computer same thing stalls for them but readings say nothing wrong
Did they figure out if you are loosing fuel or spark when it fails to start up ? You would need to know which to proceed.

Once you have the car started do you get rough idling or the needle of the tachometer does not stay in one spot? You may need to inspect the Idle Air Control valve if that is the case. It may need cleaning or you may have to replace it. It is located at the intake manifold.

I would recommend to have a scanner connected to the car to check if there are error saved in the computer. Some shops would let you borrow them. You may also inspect the engine for loose vacuum hoses and wires.
sounds like a bad ignition module check for spark when it dies if you do not have spark at plugs check between coil and coil wire if still no spark most likely module it is under rear of distributer cap resembles a black wafer board with two electrical plugs
on the highway you have air flow threw the raid on side roads no air speed is the fan turning on?

does your temp gage seem off does it go like up to the h because if it does you could try unpluging your upper coolent sensor because that could cause that because it is telling you computer to run in closed loop when it should be running in open loop
This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control
