Something is wrong with your statement
it is a 99 caravan 3.3 no abs , then you are on about abs light pump etc
the abs pump only works when the master cylinder is under pressure and that pressure is suddenly reduced by the sensor reading a locked wheel and a valve is opened to release line pressure to that wheel As soon as that wheel starts to turn, the valve closes
while the wheel is stopped and that valve is open , the abs pump kicks in to maintain line pressure otherwise the brake pedal would go to the floor
master cylinders work through a. abs unit and not because of it so if the master cylinder becomes faulty, the abs pump will not operate until a wheel stops turning as there is no line pressure to stop a wheel turning
the abs light may not be on because there is nothing to operate the system to put it on

When a pump code comes on for the abs it is usually associated with the module connected to the pump. Most of the time either the relay controlling power to the pump loses it's continuity on the board or the connector builds corrosion and resistance in the terminals. Most of the time depending on the make and model an the exact code it can be remedied by purchasing a new or used abs module/ pump, repairing the old module/ pump, or just replacing with a new module/ abs pump(most expensive option). It is very common for abs relay/ pump codes to appear and end up relating to the power or ground circuit going to open( breaking continuity it frying a connection form resistance)

It's inside the ABS pump module assembly. It inside the hermetically sealed black plastic case attached tot he ABS pump module. There is no repairing it. The ABS pump module must be replaced. The part costs $1200. Sorry.

cars or trucks that have an abs brake system, have an abs pump controller, if you replaced your brakes and and let fluid escape at each wheel, air can get into the abs pump, and will require an abs scan tool, to bleed the abs pump. there is no shortcut to doing this function that is safe. not all shops will have this
scan tool, its not a regular scan tool with an abs code reader that allows you to see the codes, you will have to call around to get the best price. the dealer has the scan tool or other shops may have it. and you cant just go buy the tool, its expensive. min. charge around 100 dollars on up for a shop to bleed the abs pump. good luck!

Dodge used an ABS system for 2 years that didn't have a vacuum booster. Instead it used ABS pressure from the pump motor for the power brakes. This is the system you have. The ABS pump is mounted on top of the transmission. Is the pump running when the pedal is hard to push? Sometimes the pressure sensor in the ABS module will go bad and the pump won't run. You will get a hard pedal and the ABS light and the BRAKE lights will be on. The code in the ABS control module will be LOW BRAKE ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE.

hi from uk if you are saying that the brake master cylinder reservoir fluid is falling in level? and that there is signes that fluid is leaking from the ABS hydraulic master cylinder ie fluid is leaking from the arpeture where the electrics wiring loom enters then there is probably one of the piston/valve seals leaking within abs assy ? or is leak from somewhere else? not had this problem before with fluid passing from abs assy resulting in reservoir losing fluid in this way?
