How difficult is the oil tank to change on a 2004 Fatboy? I have heard that this is tough job????
I have an '04 Fatboy and work in a dealership. Swapping the oil tank is not fun! There is very little clearance for tools and your hands! If you decide to try it yourself, get a service manual. It will make the job a little easier, with the steps you need to take to remove the tank. Or, get a service manual and read how to do it and decide if you want to tackle this job yourself.

I have a 05 Fatboy and the drain plug is hidden inside the frame rail on the right side by the swing arm it's a 5/8s plug.

run the bike for 10 mins then the hose dangling from the oil tank is the hose you drain then unscrew the cap on the oil tank and fill it 
with silkolene v twin 20w-50 till its full thats it buddy
