SOURCE: ABS light will not reset

you have to check the wires going to the abs, could be a bad wire, if they are ok then either the new sensor is malfunctioning, or the abs sentral is fried

What ABS sensor did you replace? Front or Rear and did you shim it?
Try riding the bike down the road, turn ignition off (NOT to the steering lock) , turn ignition back on and restart bike in any gear while the bike is moving, this resets the ABS control unit.If the ABS light comes back on the bike has a current problem (sensor,wiring or control unit)

the users manual covers this and is free if you search.
the service manual too covers this in spades.
2nd google hit.
free too. but is for S model and not told by you.
I had r1000s , mint restored.

Removing and installing central
electrical equipment box

Caution:
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect ground (earth) lead from battery.
Insulate ground (earth) lead.
•
Remove dualseat.
•
[RT] Remove small side fairing sections at left
and right.
•
[RT] Remove luggage rack/case holder.
•
[RS/R/RT] Take off rear fairing at left and right.
•
[RT] Remove lower rear section.
•
Take out retaining screws (1) for upper section of
central electrical equipment box.
