Suzuki GSF400 Bandit problems with tick over.

I recently purchased a 400 Bandit that was restrice to 33 BHP. It has done 34k miles. The bike was running very rough, so i fitted a new set of un-restricted carbs, since then the bike wont tick over properly. I have gave the carbs a good clean, i have bought new spark plugs, new choke cable, new injection needles, but im still having problems with the tick over.

When i rev the bike it takes a long time to return to tick over, then once it reaches tick over point, it starts to descend even slower until it finally stalls.

As you have replaced carbs you will need to retune for fuel intake also check its getting enough air ie.. air filter has been changed or is clogged

How can I tell Which Year My GSF 400K is?

Everything you want to know about the bike can be found in the VIN number (letter). In this case pay attention to the 10th digit (reading left to right). This may help too: http://www.suzukicycles.org/Bandit-series/GSF400-Bandit.shtml

Will a Suzuki GSX 400 Ignition Barrel fit a Bandit 250?

you d need the piston ,rings ,etc to go to a 400cc bore to use that barrel so may not be able to use it on a 250

I have a 1992 suzuki gsf400 bandit. i charged the battery to full charge, bike started great. left the house and rode 4 blocks to gas station for gas. battery was totally dead when i tried to leave. bump...

you need to buy a new regulater/rectifier ,dont ride the bike like this as it will cause more electrical problems and posibly fry your cdi

My 93 gsf400 is not gettin fuel to the carbs what should i check for?

Fuel filter, Valve plugged, Vacuum line from valve to intake leaking or pinched.
Pinched line, Vacuum valve not working (or turned off)

Gsf400 bandit wont charge

Hi!

Yepp, since you replaced the generator and you checked the cables, there cant be anything else, the battery is out of time and wont charge.
And its easy to check, take the bike to a repaire shop and let them measure the power your new generator gives, it takes 1 minit to check that and they wont charge you for it ( if they are nice guys ). But i will say that you need a new battery.

Suzuki GSF400 cranks but no fire

either it is not getting spark or not getting gas

FIX

First check for any fuses etc Make sure lights come on and or horn works

try spraying starting fluid directly into carb wile turning over

If it does not fire then remove spark plug and hold the plug (nut portion) with the lead attached
u aginst side of the engine cylinder and turn over
iif ther is no spark you have an ignition problem

It is either the points(not gaping) or magnito problem
