Low oil pressure in a ford sabre 350c marine.

Check oil level in sump. Check for correct viscosity of oil for area and temperature. Have the oil pressure check on a master oil gauge to check oil sender unit. Low oil pressure comes from worn big end/ main bearings---worn hydraulic tappets-- loose head tension and oil leaking from head gasket.

Peugeot 207 oil level increase

Check to see if gas is getting into the oil which would raise the level. This can happen from flooding, i.e. a leaky injector dumping too much gas or possibly gas blowby past the piston rings and ending up in crankcase. If gas is in the oil most likely an injector is bad. Smell the oil and check to see if it smells like gas and or check viscosity of oil.. thin oil

Oillifter noise, oil getting sticky

Need to check the oil pump pressure or if there is a lag in pressure. You need to check if the oil lamp lights up soon after starting and if so the pressrure can be low. Also check the quality of oil , change the oil if this was not done for a long time.

My oil light is flashing red and making a dinging noise

Could just be out of oil. Check the oil. Don't drive it! If it has plenty of oil the oil sending unit maybe faulty.. Best have a shop check engine oil pressure with a mechanical oil pressure gauge before driving it.. Engine will be ruined if you drive it with no oil pressure.

Oil light came on. checked oil and it is fine. car does leak about a quart of oil every two weeks. is this a oil pump problem. if so, how do i check

check for a leaking oil pan gasket. or a leaking oil filter. the oil pump is inside of oil pan. good-day! and also check the valve cover gaskets out.

Purchased focus sport 2006 model no service manual. Mileage 43,000 kms. Need to know service intervals either time/mileage perhaps a copy of the service schedule will suffice.

These maintenance intervals come from the maintenance interval calculator
at www.autozone.com, using a starting point of 25,800 miles (43000 km), and
assuming 1000 miles (1666 km) driven per month, and "severe driving conditions," which
are actually normal usage characteristics, such as frequent short trips, urban driving, waiting in traffic, driving in hot weather, trips under 16 km in cold weather, etc.

STARTING MILEAGE: 25800 (43,000 Kilometers)

How to check oil and when to add oil

Check oil when oil is warm use a towel the stuffs hot.
Theres a yellow dipstick under the hood located on either side of the engine or on the back side of engine.Pull the dipstick out wipe it clean then check the oil after the oil is warm and the car sits for about 4 minutes not running.Gets all the oil to the pan.Check then if its not to the line on the warm side of the stick add oil. Check oil monthly and change oil every 3,000 miles you can add oil to the oil if low before 3,000 but do not mix two different oils use oil that the truck requires usually it tells you on the cap or inside the hood .

I have a 1992 toyota camry LE, 4 cyl. and the oil indicator light keeps flickering on and off, what is the problem. I have checked the transmission and the oil levels and they are all okay. Confused as to...

Is it an oil pressure light or an oil change light (check the owners manual) If its an oil change light it may be time to change the oil. If its an oil pressure light you could have a short to ground in the wiring or at the oil pressure sender mounted on the engine. Also are you checking the engine oil with the engine running or off. The transmission is checked with the engine running, engine oil with engine off. If it is low on oil it will intermittently flash. Also when you check the oil wait five to ten minutes after the engine stops to let the oil settle before checking or you may get false readings.
