Leak of traction when climbing

Savage 2008, when I am climbing on a cold weather mountain the traction stops suddenly by 2 or 3 seconds, the engine never dies, it continues accelerating but it does not pull, and then when the motorcycle runs again it produce an explosion at the back pipe. The fail is always at the same geographic place. is on the freeway going up at 10200 ft. What could it be. Help please. It is the same sensation when you are running on the motorcycle and the motorcycle ask you to move the fuel valve to reserve because of the low fuel.

Its the CV carby it will need some specialised tuning
but you can check the diphrame & spring for wear
this will only make sence if your modle has a CV carby

SOURCE: runing problem with a 1983 suzuki gs1100e motorcycle

To start with it sounds as though your floats heights are out. Also you may need new neeedle & seats because they could be leaking fuel. One of the best things you can do is get a workshop manual for this bike. It will give you setting for you carbies, eg. float heights, mixture screw settings, & also problem solving solutions.I hope this a help to you.

ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher on hand when working on carburetors.
Open the petcock, (gas valve), and drain 1/2 cup of gas from the tank. Did the fuel flow freely? Is there any water or trash in the cup?

Drain the carburetor. There should be a screw on the lower right side of the carb float bowl. Remove the screw then replace it after the fuel drains. Turn the gas back on and wait a minute for the carb to fill with gas. Install a new stock NGK spark plug and try to start the engine. If the bike doesn't start and run properly then shut off the gas and remove the carburetor from the engine.

Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Check the float height. The fuel level in the bowl may be low. Bend the tang (in the center of the float) downward to raise the fuel level. EASY, a little bend goes along way.
Put the carb back together, clean the air filter and install the carb. Let the float bowl fill then start the engine.

SOURCE: HD 1979 fatboy fuel petcock valve leaking

Replace the petcock. The rubber diaphragm is ruptured. I'd also bet your fuel mileage dropped cause the ruptured diaphragm is allowing raw fuel to be sucked into the intake manifold.

SOURCE: Yamaha TW 200 starts but won't run.

If the bike has sat for a long period of time without being run - the gas that is sitting in the carb(s) will shellac.. Then the carb(s) would need to be cleaned and "rebuilt"..

Why don't my 97 mountaineer start in cold weather?

There is a sequence for COLD starts that has a trigger from the water temperature sender. Some models have a sender for the dash gauge and a second water temperature sender for the engine controls. You want the engine temperature control sender.

The temperature sender sends a signal to the Electronic Module to set timing and fuel mix, and idle speed for COLD starts. This is the electronic version of the Choke. You can search the Web for particulars about voltage or Ohms at each contact pin. This can be done by yourself, but the wiring is quite fragile and mistakes can wipe out an otherwise good part. The temperature sender is a cheap part and may be stuck on the warm setting so that your engine never gets to reset to a COLD mode.

Engine suddenly revs up, doesn't start well

Could be an automatic choke that causes it to rev up. Traction control is probably a faulty relay

2002 Buick Regal 3.8 engine leaking coolant when cold, stops when hot. Is there a common problem with these or is it the water pump. Why does it stop when hot?

This sounds like there is a loose clamp somewhere. Quite often when the weather gets cold there gets to be a gap between the hoses and the metal. Just get a screwdriver and try all the clamps. It often only takes a 1/4 or 1/2 turn on them to stop the leak.
It stops leaking because as the engine warms up everything expands and tightens up, thus stopping the leak. Hope this helps.

Hi my Chevy Malibu tells me to service my traction and esc, what does that mean? When I turn off my car then turn it on again it goes away but then comes back. Why?

It is a faulty MAP sensor, or Manifold Absolute Pressure... It is a sensor that tells the fuel injection computer how much fuel to use... Common symptoms are:
1. Check engine light comes on and stays on
2. Another light that looks like the back of a car with squiggly screech marks comes on and off (faulty MAP sensor)
3. Kind of odd feeling to the way it drives, similar to transmission symptoms
4. Difficulty starting engine, especially in cold weather
5. Reduced fuel efficiency

Took through the mountains in Oregon into California when stop for the night the fan ran and would not stop--disconnected for the night now the vehicle is overheating is this the radiator fan relay and...

the fan is designed to run after you stop to cool the engine. Leave it connected. It has 2 speeds, low & hi. Operated by 2 relays in black box under hood. Fan runs as temp climbs or when a/c compressor is running.
