Honda ct110 no spark

CT110 2007 30,00km My Postie has had problems It did run well for a while then breaks down like the rev limiter has been switched on at 6000 revs? Now won't go at all. no spark no voltage from the coil. To test all the wires from the stator and pick up what are the specs for the different wires. Should I be getting a pulse from one of these wires? I don't know how to get it to go again. Please help thank you.

Could be the spark plug cable it self causing all the grief. Or it just could be one of the above that you mentioned. Not everything new is fail safe.
Good luck figuring it out.

SOURCE: hi i have an 05 crf150f it wil not get spark at

well the stator doesn't give spark it give voltage and if you test it and the is voltage and you have replaced all that stuff with good ones then it is your cdi box.

to test the stator for voltage take a multimeter on the ac scale and test the output of the stator while kicking the bike over if you have voltage rising and falling then your stator is fine. if not you will need to test the pick coil in the stator area for a ground pulse this is what the cdi box uses as a reference for the position of crank shaft and piston. just like a crank sensor in a car. if there is ground pulse there when you back probe the wires coming out of the pick up then your cdi is for sure the issue. if you have any more question please ask. good luck

SOURCE: no spark

get a copper wire and get it connected to any metal object like a bicycle.

then get another copper wire connected to the the spark plug's connector cap. rub the wires while kicking the bike start or trying it to start, if no spark goes off, meaning you have to change your coils, or something is disconnected or burnt from the coil

SOURCE: 88 honda ct110 6 volt system. 8 volts at headlight

sounds like the new used one is bad too. The only thing that regulates voltage is the rectifier.

Removing Front Wheel Honda Postie CT110 97 model

Support motorcycle by placing block or jack under engine. Use a wood block to protect sump. Disconnect the speedometer cable by removing the phillips screw located just below the cable at the axle. Remove the brake caliper by removing the two allen screws that hold the bracket to the fork. The brake caliper will come off with a little effort. Don't let it hang free, tie it up. Be sure you don't move the brake lever at all while the brake is off of the disc. Loosen the two small bolts at the front of the forks. Remove the nut on the right side. Pull the axle out the left side. When re-installing the wheel, be sure the speedometer housing is installed exactly as it came out, (watch out for this)

Ok i just got a 2004 crf 70. i have taken carb apart twice and cleaned every jet ect... problem is when wide open it cuts out spits and spudders. I have changed settings on throttle cable and swapped out...

Could be that you need to go up one jet size.
When choking a motor, your richening the mixture with more fuel, less air.
So if you must choke it, you must need more fuel.

As for electrical. some bikes have a rev limiter when you hold the throttle wide open You may be reaching the rev limit.
A rev limiter with turn the power on/off the coil superfast, keeping the rmp at a maximum factory setting, and the motor breaks up at full throttle.
Some cdi's have and adjustment that you can set your own rev limit, or you can buy a cdi with no rev limit.
Hope this helps

Have Honda CT110cc postie bike starts and runs well however when warmed up and choke auto off will not idle. Checked air filter/plug/fresh petrol/carby is clean jets etc. Also revs excessively without...

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak between the carby and the head. Check the O ring that is between the carb and manifold. Replace if it doesn't sit proud of the locating groove.

New crf250r breaks down at high revs since new

Thats not normal. You could get a bike off the show room floor and completely skip the break in period and it would run wide open. If your bike wouldn't rev past quarter throttle there is something wrong. With a blackened silencer and a motor that dies at quarter throttle I'd say you've got a problem with your injection system flooding your motor with fuel. I run 3 warm up and cool down rotations and go ride like normal. After 4 tanks of fuel your bike is more than broken in. If you aren't familiar with the injection system take it to the dealer and get someone to look at it. If you bought it new it should be covered as a manufacture defect.

I have a 1981 Honda CT110 Trail 2 wheel motorcycle. I have been working on it and everything seems to be working normal except the idle. It will idle normal for a time and the suddenly rev real high. I...

The problem is an air leak leaning the fuel mix. The idle speed starts going up a ramp until it is wide open. The valves no longer seating well is a possible cause as is carb manifold gaskets, rings and a cylinder head not torqued down tight.
