Why does it make popping sounds?

Are you certain the popping sound is coming directly from the Toshiba or the Direct TV controller box? Perhaps this question may resolved by contacting your DirectTv provider first. It is possible the sound is relative to the controller itself, the control box or other external sources.

sound like the shocks that hold the hatch open have been over extended, thats what the popping sound is when its opened.. replace the shocks and that will keep the hatch open and eliminate the popping sound,

Is it the ice maker or is it an electrical popping ?

It is the speakers on the tv fluxing sound is too loud. Change your bass settings or use a different sound system.

Some cracking and pinging is normal due to the thermal expansion of the metal. If some make more noise than others, it could be an indication of a plugged or restricted steam vent (the chrome gadget on the side of the radiator) or that the return line at the boiler needs draining or that there is too much water in the supply lines. A good flushing of the supply and return lines will help. Check your water level after flushing. I would replace the original steam vent on the suspect radiator and see if that helps, it could be over heating.

the popping sound is generated in the audio output amplifier IC, change out the ic and any associated electrolytic capacitors this should restore normal operation good luck

I recently had the same problem, it ended up being the front stabilizers and the drive shaft.

check your timeing (that is engine timeing)

The sound from my vizio 22" HDTV is not working properly when I attach it to my cable TV.

disconnect the woofer and connect a different speaker see if other speaker makes the same pop if it don't then the woofer cone is defected if you have high watts and using stereo on high volume you can damage speakers.
