If you are not mechanically adapt do not try this as it involves quite a lot of disassembly.
First, disconnect battery, negative side first.
1. Remove primary chaincase cover.
Bend tab on lockplate away from
head of jackshaft bolt. Hold pinion gear in place and
remove jackshaft bolt, lockplate and thrust washer.
4. Remove rear exhaust pipe.
5. Remove screw and end cover from starter.
6. Remove oil tank to provide clearance for starter removal.
7. Remove both starter mounting bolts and washers. This includes detaching the engine ground cable.
8. Remove protective boot over connector. Remove nut with washer (metric).
a. Remove positive battery cable ring terminal.
b. Remove circuit breaker wire ring terminal.
c. Detach solenoid wire.
9. Remove starter from right side of motorcycle.
Assembly is in reverse order. As you can see, quite a big job.
SOURCE: lost owners manual have dead battery and don't
If the battery is dead because of something like leaving the ignition on then you might be able to just recharge it and it will still be good. If its old and just doesnt have the life left you should just replace it with a new battery. Remove the seat to access the battery. If you are not sure if you should charge it or replace it you can take it to any larger chain brand auto parts store. They will run a diagnostic on the battery for free and tell you if its good or bad in hopes of selling you a new battery. If its bad they will sell you a comparable battery, keep in mind the testing is free so dont feel like you have to buy the battery from them. I personally only run a HD battery from the dealership but that is just my preference. Hope this answers your question.

Takes about 3 and quarter Litres Mate, put half in and turn motor over coupla times before topping off with remaining oil
SOURCE: how to change oil for2007 heritage softail classic
The oil drain us usually a hose with a plug in it that is held by a clip on the frame. It us usually on the right hand side of the bike just behind and underneath the transmission side cover. Loosen the clamp and pull the plug out. The oil will run out of the tank. Replace plug and add new oil to the tank.

Pretty hard to offer suggestion with so little info.
If chain drive could be chains too loose.
Check oil level.
Get M/C shop to check......alot of good money at stake there.
