Open the container of antifreeze. Using a separate EMPTY gallon-size container, pour out HALF of the contents into the empty container, making sure not to spill any. Now, FILL the newly filled container with tap water. Fill the rest of the antifreeze with water, also. Now, you are ready to add antifreeze to your vehicle! Simply locate the radiator cap, (Don't touch it if it's hot!!) and unscrew it. Pour the desired amount of your mixed antifreeze into the radiator. Remember not to do this without proper knowledge!
You don't add it to the radiator , you add it to the plastic surge tank !
Fill the cooling system through the surge tank with a mixture of ethylene glycol antifreeze and water. The mixture must be at least 50 percent antifreeze, but not more than 60 percent antifreeze for cold weather operation. Fill the surge tank to the specified MAX fill mark on the outside of the tank.
If you have a back flush kit on the engine, use it to fill the engine. It will help push air pockets out of the block. Fill it with water, then run the engine until the t/stat opens and air is pushed into the radiator. Add water until the radiator is full. Run engine long enough to be sure there are no more air pockets in the block. Let engine cool a while then let water out of the drain petcock until enough water is let out to make room for antifreeze. Add antifreeze then run engine until t/stat opens again . Top off radiator with more antifreeze.
check the bottom of the radiator. there should be a drainplug. loosen drainplug. then refill with a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze, unless it comes premixed. If no drainplug, loosen lower radiator hose and fill
Lift the hood. In the upper right hand corner is the overflow fill tank. If you want to put it in fast reach down the right side of the radiator(when it's cool) unscrew the small plastic petcock and drain a gallon or two of antifreeze into clean pan. Replace petcock. Open the cap on tank and add stop leak. Fill back up with antifreeze. Now would be a good time to change it. Go to Napa and buy the original antifreeze the car came with Zerex G5. Mix 50/50 with distilled water.Fill to just above cold line and start engine keep adding mixture till it won't go down any more. Replace cap and watch level for two or three days of driving add mixture after engine is cold
WELL YOU SHOULD HAVE 50/50 WATER AND ANTIFREEZE MIXTURE ADD MORE ANTIFREEZE.SOUND LIKE CAR LOW IN COOLANT.FILL RADIATOR UP RUN CAR TO THERMOSTAT OPEN ADD MORE COOLANT IN RADIATOR UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL STOPS.IF CAR STILL OVER HEAT REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND PRESSURE CAP.
The best method is to fill the radiator up with a mixture of antifreeze and water. The mixture details should be on the antifreeze container. Once the radiator is full let the car run until the thermostat opens up and you should see the level of fluid go down in the radiator. Fill the radiator again while the thermostat is opened. Then add fluid to the overflow tank to the fill line. That should do it. If you have put in too much it will run into the overflow container when it is not needed in the car.
