SOURCE: car wont roll forward or back even in neutral

I assume it's a manual transmission.
If the car will not roll backward or forward in neutral (with or without the clutch engaged) the transmission is most likely locked in two gears at the same time.
This may happen if gear selectors are excessively worn. If you are able to examine the gear selection levers external to the gearbox, ensure they are in the 'neutral' (no gear selected) position when the gear lever is in Neutral. If not in correct position, you may be able to manually reset the levers to correct neutral position and thereby unlock the gearbox.
In any case, if it's happened once, it will happen again, so get the gearbox and gear selection mechanism checked for wear or breakage.

Hi Chris,Are you sure there are adjustments for height in your vehicle? The controls are usually visible and not hidden. If you don't have that facility, and need it, go visit a breakers yard and buy a couple of seats that are equipped with those adjustments and fit them to your vehicle.Regards Johngee10

Can not back up or even push it backwards in neutral running or not.

The right rear brake on my Granddaughters car was so worn that the pad jammed when turning backwards stopping any backwards motion. When going forward it did not jam and could be pushed or driven forward. Tell everyone that if you hear scraping noises when applying brakes to get them checked right away.

My reverse went out of my truck and I put it in neutral to push it backwards and its like I'm in drive andcan drive forward what can I do to fix it

If reverse is done and you can only go forward is it shifting out of first. If its not then you need the transmission rebuilt. That's what happened on my truck.

95 mazda 626 automatic transmition....will not reverse

Check you transmission fluid level and if it's not your transmission, I'm thinking that your brake shoe lineing in the rear brakes may have separated and is jamming up aginst the drums when your trying to back up. Sorry can't halp you with any more, good luck and start with that and hope it help's.

Hallo

Sounds like the park-neutral-park switch needs replaced. Try moving the gearstick forwards and backwards quickly all the way 5 times and see if that helps. If it does, you need the a new PNP switch.
