Kokusan denki My 2002 Artic Cat ATV 375 cc won't start. It turns over but no power to sparkplug. I had a short when my red power wire on 30 amp fuse connection under right rear fender came off and shorted out. Replaced wire, 30 amp fuse and 10 amp for ignition switch. Motor turns over but no spark. Suspect CDI unit or magneto. Mag puts out low voltage when starter is engaged but no spark. How to test both, have now wiring diagram. SOURCE: Artic Cat ATV 366 4X4 2009.Put new battery in ATV and all worked fine.Turned on headlights and next time I tried to start starter will not energize and everywhere I have checked,fuse box etc. has 12 v

Check the fuse on the starter solenoid .

Testimonial: "Thanks for your time. The fuse is ok. I can jump the yellow/orange wire at push button and solenoid will energize the starter. The only other thing I don't understand is the CDI unit. Everything else seems to check out. I am not getting any voltage at the starter button on handlebars."

u must always hav 12.6 v for a coil ignition--u cud hav hurt the alternator - the relay is burnt too probly - the spark area and wiring seems to hav issues--get a clymer manual for detaild engine work--cdi is capacitor discharge ign
