I am doing tune up on my 1989 Mitsubishi Montero and can you tell me the spark plug gap?

Changing plugs can be rather simple or very difficult based on the ability to access the plugs. If there is alot of room, get yourself a rachet and plug socket, and starting with one plug, remove the plug wire, remove the plug, and replace. Install new plug, tighten, and install plug wire. Move on to the next plug. By doing them one by one, you reduce the chance of crossing plug wires, ect. Its easiest to start with the drivers side front, and end in the passengers side rear. That way you know you got to all of them. Good luck.22

If the engine runs OK when cold and starts to miss when warm usually spark is the problem. Make sure the choke is open all the way. How does the plug look? When the engine quits then restarts and runs then quits again but at a shorter interval the ignition coil is the culprit. Good luck
