SOURCE: oil plug

Bottom of oil pan...underneath the bike. Approach the undercarriage from the leftside of the bike, so you will not have to deal with the exhaust pipes. Remember to change your oil filter with every other oil change.

SOURCE: Front fork oil capacity

Hi Lukepentcof.

its 350cc or 11.8 ounces in the Clyma book, but that's for a 1986 onwards model. you can vary the amount you use to suit your style of riding anyways. I doubt it would be that far from the mark.

SOURCE: suzuki gsf 1200 s bandit

Christmas comes early. Go to the site below and you can download a free PDF service manual. Yours is the 1st one in the "Suzuki GSF" section of the list. 4 or 5 below that is a PDF parts diagram with part numbers.

http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp Most manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language.

Top rating due for this answer! Thanks Asel :)

SOURCE: Suzuki bandit 1996 will not start

If you have spark and still the bike is not starting ( and the timing on the spark is correct) make sure you got fuel flowing to the engine, if fuel is getting there and still the engine doesn't start, check the cylinder head and pistons and make sure you got compression. These are the problems that can cause a bike not starting. Hope it helps

How much fork oil do I put in

Dave, I usually measure the amount of fork oil that drains out of each fork and replace with that same amount. In my experience this is not necessarily a critical spec. All bikes are different, however. Many owners and mechanics will experiment with differing amounts and weights of oil. You may consult your dealership and try to get within a couple ounces of spec. My bike has travelled 27000klms should the fork oil be changed, what would you reccomend as to what oil, change frequency is not in the service data

The only time you need to change the fork oil is if the seals are bad and it's been leaking. Or you take them apart for some reason.

Best oil to put in a bandit 1200 1998

For the Bandit 1200 use only regular motorcycle oil. Stay away from synthetics for this particular engine. The Bandit has a weak clutch and using synthetics will cause slippage and premature wear. I recommend either Suzuki's oil 10-w40 or Yamalube 10-w40. I have over 30,000 miles on my Bandit with no problems at all. I hope this helps.
