SOURCE: Headlights don't work. First there

I, lights need both positive and earth (negative) to work, check your ground conections, use a volt meter to check if you have good solid 12V there ,

High beams work for both lights, 1 low beam does not

Check for power with a test light with the light connected. If you have power then its the ground. If no power then you will need to trace the wire back to find break. As I recall they did have seperate fuse for left and right headlight high & low beam. Also did you get a defective new bulb?

GS500F 04, TACHO GAUGE ISN'T LIGHTING UP, STILL WORKING, JUST NO LIGHTS AND NO LOW BEAM? ARE THESE SOMEWHAT CONNECTED? EVERYTHING ELSE ELECTRICAL IS STILL WORKING FINE

The Tach and speedo lights are connected together. They should both light the moment ignition is switched to "On". The taillight and headlamp's sidelight should also light up at the same time.
If the lights mentioned come on then the problem is at the bulb in the rear of the tach itself.
First try switching the tach and speedo bulbs to confirm that it is the bulb. If not the bulb check wiring.
The grey wire on the connector is the power feed to the bulbs. See that you have 12V on this line The black/white is the earth line for these 2 bulbs and also for the high beam indicator. Connecting 12V to between the black/white and the grey will let the speedo and tach light up.
As for the low beam the white wire on the back of the headlamp supplies power to the low beam. If you have 12V on this line with the handlebar switch set to low beam, then you have a blown low beam filament and the bulb needs replacement. With no power to this line when switched to low beam, check the wire between the switch and headlamp for continuity. I'm assuming the high beam works so if you've still not solved the problem at this point then the switch needs repair or replacing.
Please leave a comment if you need further assistance.

I have a 2000 saturn ls sedan. My headlights are no longer working. All other lights are functioning fine. Tail lights, brake lights, turn signals.....all fine. Its just that when I turn my headlights on...

it is most likely a blown fuse, the fuse box is usually under the hood also check the low beam relay,it may also be in the fuse box,if you have a test light see if there is any power to the low beam at the bulbs,if they are H4 bulbs it is the center terminal, also check for any loose wires or connector plugs,,,,,hope this helps......cheers

My truck is actually a '95 C1500 but I understand that they were the same model from 88-98. I have 2 problems - both electrical. On a recent trip, I lost both low beam headlights at the same time. ...

There could be a fuse for each low beam light either under the hood or under the dash. If not, then prob both low beams are bad.

If you have daytime run lights, the following may be of help.

There is a daytime running light module that controls both low beams and the daytime running lights. The low beam bulbs may be OK. The high beams will work fine as they are not controlled through the module.

It may be possible to disable the daytime run lights by cutting the yellow wire going into the module and then connecting it to ground. Tape off the other end.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Low beams stopped working high beams work fine

Either both bulbs are bad(I've seen it before) or your
dimmer/headlight switch is bad. If you can without pulling the bulb, pull plug from the light. If it's a 4 lamp system pull the low beam. Do this on the left side as the right feeds from the left. With a 12v test light, check for power. (with lo beam on) if you have
power, change the lamp, if you don't it's most likly
the dimmer switch at the steering collum.
Hope this helps Good luck

Daytime running lights and low beam lights not workin, fuse is fine. Replaced relay lights still don't work.

I just worked on a Pontiac Sunfire on a light issue. The driving lights are on a separate switch on a 2003 from the dimmer switch. Have you checked to make sure both low beam light bulbs for your headlights are not burnt out on low beam? Have you checked to make sure you have power to the low beam where the connector connects onto the bulb?
