Adjust the float downwards and make sure it has no fuel pipe blockages

SOURCE: how to change oil in 2003 HD FXD Dyna Super Glide

remove the drain plug from the oil pan, you will need either a 3/4" box wrench or a 5/8" box wrench and the drain plug will be facing forward on the the oil pan. It is easiest to remove this drain plug from under the right side of the bike. put drain plug back in after about 10 m,inutes of drain time and tighten to 18 ft. lbs. Dont forget to change the oil filter as well.

Did you try to increase the idling adjustment screw?
Check the spark plugs for its condition and thn reset the air-mixture screw.
Standard procedure for setting air-mixture screw...tight it all the way in, taking care to not over tighten or the tip of the screw may be damaged, thn turn outwards 2 & half to 3 turns, start your bike's engine ,run it to normal temp. and the reset the screw + - alittle either way and you should notice the difference in the idling and all.
Its better too, to also check the valve clearance !
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: 81 Suzuki gs650 #2 carb floods gas out after start

The float is stuck open in the leaking carb. Remove the float bowl and clean the carb after removing the pin holding the float in place. While the float is out, shake it to see if gas has gotten inside it. If so, you will need a new float or will need to drain the float then re-solder it to seal it up again. To drain the float chances are you will need to drill a vent hole in it to allow the gas to drain. Just solder the vent closed when done.

85 jeep cherokee 2.5l runs fine on level ground but the carb floods when I'm going up hills? Any solutions? Its been tuned up new plugs and wires and everything but why is it flooding?

Your carb is needing to be rebuilt the seals and float and valve seat may be damage. The float opens when the fuel level in the carb is low. If the valve seat is damaged or the float is not working. Gas can keep pouring into the carb resulting in extra fuel. Till the engine stops and fuel pump pressure stops pushing fuel it will keep pouring fuel and will not stop till rebuilt correcting the problems. Buy rebuild kit and rebuild it or try junkyard and replace it.

I have a 1971 cb100cc. I CANNOT for the life of me get that bike to run, in a sequence. Points gap is set right, advance seems to work good, it's getting fuel and has good spark. But it still will not

If every thing seems to be in order, spark, etc. , try spraying some carb cleaner down the throat of the carb and see if it fires up. The problem could be a dirty carb. Does the carb have needle valves on it? I don't know this engine so I'm giving general advice. If it does fire up when you spray carb cleaner in the carb, try using a fuel system cleaner in the gas tank, and spray the crab cleaner in the carb to get it started. change the gas filter.

Why does my 2005 dyna super glide not idle

Running fuel/air too lean or maybe bad spark plug or wire. Just make sure wires are tight. Might be fouled.

Chain saw runs while working the choke bu acts like it runs out of gas ,carb has been rebuilt. it runs great while working the choke

Its definently running too lean, has the filter in the fuel tank been changed? are the fuel hoses in good order, no cracks or fuel leaks? has the H and L screws on the carb been set correctly? if all these things are ok, it could well be an air leak through a gasket or a crank seal.

Sounds lean. Check for intake leaks. Is air filter good and clean. Change the plugs. Has the fuel screen been checked or cleaned lately??

I have a 1987 caprice clasic with a 305 v8 2 barrel that I have to pump the gas pettle to keep it running. could this be the carb or the fuel pump?

this problem is the carburetor which probably has dirt in it plugging up the circuits or a stuck float and when you push on the gas pedal you are supplying fuel through the accelerator circuit.it can be rebuilt or you can buy a rebuilt carburetor, but note you don`t know how long a rebuilt carb has been sitting on the shelf there by it may have dried out gaskets and accelerator pump, and be in worse shape than you own carb.

How do get old gas out of tamk.can it be run through by adding new gas and water desover?

It depends on how much old gas is in the tank and what condition it's in. Personally, I'd rather drain the tank. I seem to remember that your bike has a single tank instead of two halves like a Softail. To drain the tank, if your tank has a fuel petcock, take a large funnel and an empty fuel can and place it in position under the petcock. Loosen the petcock until the fuel starts to run out. Catch it with the funnel and direct it into the can. Or, there is a "crossover hose at the front of the tank. Pull one end of this hose off and catch the fuel there. If you do it this way, you're going to have fuel coming from two places at the same time. Sometimes this results in fuel going everywhere. Not good as a danger of fire exist.

Once you get the bulk of the fuel drained. You can add new fuel with a little Sea Foam additive to the tank. Now, you may have to remove and clean the carb as well. If he fuel is over about a year old, you may have problems in the carb.

Good Luck

I got a fs 66 weedeater hat wont start the carb has been rebuilt now there is too much gas in cylider which is flooding the plug and is blowing out the exaust any ideas

First check to make sure the primer tube and fuel pickup tube are'nt reversed. Primer tube is smaller.. If they are correct then when the carb was rebuilt either the gasket was installed after the fuel pump diapragm or the inlet needle wasn't adjusted correctly. Go to www.Zamacarb.com or www.walbro.com depending on your carb for correct instruction.

I have a featherlite that will not run

Does it have a primer bulb? If so, check it for cracks, also check the fuel lines and the uptake filter in the fuel tank which may be clogged, check all the seals of the carb inder a magnifier to check for dirt or cracks...this is going to sound stupid but are you sure you put the carb back together correctly?
