thats the problem with scooters.. it needs to take out all the plastic parts to get access at spark. the spark usually is on right foot or in front behide fridge
Please help.. somebody pushed my sky jet 125 over and now it won't start. I have spark but no fuel i n the carb. Does it have a fuel cutoff? Or something similar?
I think that your CDI needs replacing. It is sometimes possible to dig a bit of epoxy out and solder the wire back. If this works, seal the area with silicone after.
Try switching your spark plug, I had a problem with my skyjet cutting when I was driving esp when I slowed, couldn't see the problem, but I changed my spark plug and it runs real well.
Hello Jason
To begin with, ..Why did you change the CDI and rectifier? Were you having charging problems?? The rectifier simply changes A/C current into D/C current run the electrical system/charge the battery! The CDI manages the spark for the spark plug. The CDI and rectifier are for TWO different electrical system. (Engine running - and - battery charging/lights/turn signals, etc.)
Please tell me what was wrong and everything you did and WHY.
Please reply thru fixya and I will get back to you!
The stock plug is highlighted below. Personally, I would get the $6.48 plug. The heat range is the same and you will not be able to tell any difference in performance. The expensive plug will last longer but you can buy four of the cheaper plugs for what you spend on the stock plug. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
