What does the fusebox behind the drivers seat lead to in 1989 chevy g20 van? It has 2 20amp fuses some lower amp fuses a black box and no labels.

Likely the pump is bad, if you supply 12 V to it and it still doesn't turn, then it's definitely bad.

you'd have to find out what colored wire is behind the plugged in vcr wire theres gonna be a black n red , or black n yellow ( something like that) the black is ground ( frame/body Connected) the colored wire will usually be the powered side. , then follow that colored wire to the fuse box and relocate that powered side wire to connect to another wire , down at the fuse box that powers up with the key on. just connect it to the appropriate wire. stereo shops or car dealerships can fix that issue real quick. normally for a few dollars.

The fuses are located on a fuse block, they provide increased circuit protection and reliability. The fuse block is located under the left side of the instrument panel and steering column. The fuse block should be visible from underneath the steering column, near the pedal bracket. If the block is not visible, check for a removable compartment door or trim panel which may be used on later models to hide the block. On 1996-97 models, there is also a fuse/relay panel mounted underhood.

Tail lights and panel run on same circuit.Find place in fuse box and place a new fuse in it even if it looks good.

I just had the same problem. If it is a regular van try under the driver seat in a plastic box. If it is a conversion van try in a pannel just behind driver seat on side of van wall behind a pannel that looks like a vent.
