Where are the fuses? I have the exact same problem on a 2004 gsxr 600

  • Anonymous Nov 23, 2009

I have the exact same problem on my 2004 gsxr 600 with led break lights, turn signals don't work, break light and head light work fine, not sure how the parking light is supposed to work but when I lock the steering column lock the break light stays on. Which makes me afraid my battery is going to run down. So where are the fuses at so i can check them?

    Thanks Andy

This is either a ground issue or 2 separate problems. Check the tail bulbs there should be 2 filaments in them unless they are LED. In the case that they are led Check the grounds and the fuses.

Rear wiring for suzuki tr1000s brake light and parking light problems after changing to led lights

there could be incompatibility when changing to LED lights as indicators need a current flow to operate
talk with a bike electrician as you may have to incorporate a ballast in the circuit to make the system work

95 mustange gt brake light dont work check #9 fuses change all bulbs replaced switch on brake pedal hazards lights works ,parking or running lights works, turning signal lights works, what other places i...

I assume the fuse has power if the hazards work.
The third brake light skips the turn signal switch, the regular brake light circuit goes thru the turn signal switch.
Do you have power going into the turn signal switch on the red lite green wire from the brake switch ?

I have a 1983 Gmc Sierra... when i pull the light switch only the head lights turn on but i can use the turn signals and brake lights they work... hazzard lights work...

The turn signals and brake lights are on a different circuit from the parking lights. Did you check to see if you have power coming out of the headlight switch for the parking light circuit ?

Brake lights not working

Not even the third eye? then the fuse is blown or all the bulbs are out or the brake light switch on the break pedal is bad wire off or broken( it breaks right off the plug then crosses then blows the fuse as the loose broken wire hits the brake pedel arm. Test the break pedal switch first if the third eye doesesnt work either. no power with a test light the fuse is blown or the wire broke ( the wire goes straight to the switch from the fuse and doesnt go anywhere elese. the other wire if hot should light the lights. Most of these wont come out of park without this working as the wire also turns on the park release but some Fords the park release sticks released and Ford made em that way as they didnt like the brake to get out of park law. If the brake lights dont work maybe you ought not be able to get out of park anyway till its fixed. the switch is hot on both wires with the switch pused down and the lights dont still work go after the third eye first if the bulbs are bad change em before you do the rest of the work. on cars with yellow turn signals the brake lights all work on the same wire but red only use three wires, but you didnt say the turn signales didnt work if they work and they are red you r on the way to the turn signal switch as the brake switch powers the turn switch with power then it splites it fot the two lights and adifferent switch circuit for the front hooks them all together for hazard. yellow turns in the back or even separt bulbs can mean blown bulbs ther too its old enought for all the bulbs to fail and the runs still work.

Hi, my parking light works the head light flasher works , but brake and normal lights dont work any ideas

Yes the problem is that you have one bad bulb. One causes others not to work. Buy one brake bulb and one for your "normal lights" Be sure you get exactly the same bulbs as are in there now. Then just switch out one bulb at a time til u come upon the burned out bulb.

Left rear turn signal and brake light dont work

You have a broken wire to the turn/brake light portion of the light as they use the same wire. Or where the plug goes into the light assy could be bad. Torsion mount lights are horrible and you should think about replacing with a universal light that you can wire direct.
