we had trouble with the seals of the transmission and used a heavier grade mineral engine oil
information can be obtained from oil manufacturer catalogues for oils for tractors and hydraulics

Ford 8630 SERIES POWER SHIFT problem: I have calibrated tractor by normal procedure as done before but this time half way through it showed up EL on the screen beside gear stick,turned tractor off and on...

check the fuse in the little auxilliary fuse box under the dash.Also check the wireing loom connectors to the valve block solenoids.

(xj8 2002 3.2 auto) Hi have a problem with box has 136000 miles clonks when on gradiant or bend ie roundabout only .on the level smooth no probs.Would changing gear oil resolve this and replacing filter...

I would definitly try replacing the oil, also make sure nothing is loose and have the front end and the suspension checked also.

I would ck the fluid lvl and ck to see if the fluid looks brown if it is brown the transmission has been slipping for a while and it could of been cause by a Oring that has gone bad or the clutches just wore out and also could be the torque converter

Have a look at the mounts.

Hard Knock can be contributed to the engine or transmission movement during a high torque situation.
