Have replaced plugs and air filter, still doesn't want to start when cold
Hi Nigel:
Cold starts require a rich fuel/air mixture. That's what the choke is supposed to do. Is there a way that you can check your choke linkage to make sure it's working? It may have a loose clamp or screw, and even though you think you're choking it, you're not. Another thing, some of these bikes don't like throttle with a cold start. My '08 Yamaha is Choke on, No throttle. Start, Idle until warm. Choke off, Go play!!

a complete tune up consists of new fuel filter, oil filter, oil, plugs, valve adjust, carb sync and plug wires(optional).. if there is no dipstick, there must be a sight glass on one side of the engine down low. on that model i believe the oil filter is underneath along with the drain plug. there should be (2) 17mm bolts, one for drain plug the other for filter.
