Ok here goes. Just bought a 1994 gsxr 750w that didn't run at all. Got everything changed, battery, new plugs, new fuses, hi octane gas. Still wasn't running. Took to a bike shop and had them clean the carbs and sync everything up. Rode for about 1 week and parked it for awhile. One morning it just decides not to idle. Bike would start with the choke but just wouldn't warm up and idle. Would die after I let i run for 5 to 10 minutes and turn the choke down. Tried to adjust the idle screw beneath the carb filters I believe. Now all she does is turn on. Wont even turn over or start, where did I go wrong and what should I do before I have to take it back to a shop for something that I may be able to replace or troubleshoot furher?
The carbs are proberbly blocked, you might have rust in your tank that will keep blocking, put an inline fuel filter in and get carbs cleaner, you also got a flat battery, give i little revs until it starts then adjust the idle
I have had the same problems. But I haven't taken it to the shop yet. I know it's getting fuel cause I can smell it and I know it getting gas. Any other solutions or should I just take it in
You need to clean the carbs the float bracket orings and needle housing orings are bad.replace reset float height and use sea foam to clean it with.then if it has jet kit look to see what size you may need to set floats to higher than 14 mm maybe set at 15 to 16mm depends on THE jet kit
You have to be careful adjusting the carbs. They are suppost to be syncronized. Bring it back to the shop and let them adjust them and don't touch unless you buy the tools required for the job.
