You have a bad battery. or the water levels are to low on your battery and the cells aren't being completed so it won't hold a charge then either. you can pop the top off of your battery and look and see and if they are low add some distilled water

Testimonial: "I guess it could be a bad battery, but I just bought it 2 months ago to replace the old one that was 2 years old and the bike was acting the same. If it is not the battery could it be something with the starter?"

How does the charging system on a 1969 Honda 325 cc motorcycle work to keep engine running?

I think you mean a 69 CB350. It sounds like you have a bad battery since the battery charger won't charge it.

On this bike there is an alternator and rectifier that combine to charge the battery whenever the engine runs. If the battery won't hold a charge, the charging system wont work.

Replace the battery.

My Honda Accord wont start even with a jump. The lights come on but wont turn over. No click, no sound, no nothing

IT's those short drives that burn down a battery! The starting of an engine requires mucho electric to get it running. The alternator then charges the battery, but slowly! If you also have the lights and stereo on it is even slower. Get the battery FULLY charged with a commercial battery charger. Then check to see if the alternator is charging up the battery after you start it. If not, replace the alternator. If the battery dies overnight or in a few days...replace the battery.

Engine overheating

I don't know if this applies to cars as well but the fan on my 2005 Honda VTX1300 motorcycle was not working and the temperature light came on a couple of times. It was a fuse. The fuse was replaced and the fan works fine now.

My 2006 Honda VTX1300 starts fine with the choke lever pulled out part or all of the way, but after engine is plenty warmed up, if the choke lever is pushed back in, the bike immediately dies.

your carbs not getting enough fuel check the bowl and jets. I run a pice of wire down the jets even if they look open just to be sure. Speaker wire strands work well for the tiny holes

CHARGE BATTERY, THEN START BIKE UP. AFTER RIDING

Sounds like you are not getting a charge from the alternator. You need to check battery voltage with a meter with the engine off, key off. Then again with it running, and the voltage should increase. If not, it's not charging.

Vtx 1300 won't start

Hi I have had the same problem with my 2007 VTX1300S, the problem was caused by the fuel tap diaphram this comes in two parts on this model the vacumn side and the actual fuel cut off side. the two sides become seperated and cut off the fuel supply. the smaller inner part should fit into the outer main part.

My 2005 honda cb250 wont start, it turns on and makes a slight clicking noise when starting then wont do it and the lights dim, is it just my battery that needs charged?

sounds like it, the battery needs a large amount of current to be turned over, try charging it up, i think it will solve your problems
