I have a 2009 Yamaha rhino 700 cutting out at half throttle and popping cuts out at 35 mph

ok buddy to much fuel on carb will be a mixture screw turn this in till it runs ok and get back to me as soon as you have done it

I would carefully go over your wiring, especially any you may have disconnected during the head gasket swap, and check for a loose ground first.

If all your connections are good, then take a voltmeter to your battery, see what it's putting out. (If you can load test it, even better). Sometimes, when a battery get's messed up, it'll start overloading and put out too much power, and burn up fuses/wires.

I would double check compatibility and wiring hook-up of the A/M CDI. See if the previous jets (if undamaged) improve top end. The leaner, the meaner!

Sounds like the choke is on to me. Check it and see
