SOURCE: Bike won't rev up

i have had a lot of experience in this bike, the parts are really hard to get hold of from experience. this did happen to me but mine had a 65 bore kit on it and it turned out to be the bearings. there is not much that can stop a two-stroke bike reving up like that as the mechanics inside are very straight forward. a good tell tale is to check the inside of your sump plug, if there are filings on it as it is magnetic, this is more than probably the bearings and will need rebuilding. really sorry if this is nto the answer you are looking for.

SOURCE: while riding my yz 125 it just died and won,t kick up again

  • If a hole in the piston then install new piston and rings. Next, clean the carbon off the head and install a new head gasket.
  • If cylinder wall is scared the piston has seized up. Pull the cylinder off and take it to the dealer. Have them bore the cylinder and return it along with a new oversize piston and rings.
  • While at the parts counter, get a new stock spark plug and a supply of Yamalube Two Stroke Motor Oil. You need to add 4 ounces per gallon when filling up. This will be a 32/1 gas to oil ratio. NEVER ride the bike without at least the needed 32/1 mix.
Please rate the solution as a "FixYa" if able. Thanks!

Sounds like you have a problem with the computer or the FI system on the bike. That is what the (F)uel (I)njection is on for.

[Archive] M7 05 won't rev out properly Arctic Cat: M Series. ... So I put the proper weights in my m7 and now it won't pull rpms. It's seems .... Well it will rev to 7500-8000 at 6k ft with just the primary clutch. You can see and hear the servo open. With the track on it would rev to 7500 but then fall to 6800-7000. 2008 M8 wont rev over 6,000 RPM

Hello, I have Husaberg fs 650e 2004.Since last year,I have a problem with white smoke from exsaut, because it fill the air filter with oil.And my mechanic don't know what to do? Please...

The bike needs a top end job. Oil is getting past the piston rings causing the bike to smoke. The best thing to do would be to have the cylinder bored then install a new piston and ring set. While the top end is apart, have the mechanic re-seat the valves. The air filter is filling with oil because of the compression getting past the rings. Maintain the proper oil level in the gear box to lessen the problem. You may want to find a new mechanic. This is basic information any competent mechanic would know. I am not being ugly, I just want to help you out.

2005 Victory Vegas, Motor lost power when cruising about 65. I thought a plug went out, but the plugs seem fine. Running like on one cylinder but both are working but power is gone. not idling right...

It sounds like computer has put you bike into limp home mode or safety mode to protect the engine. What warning lights do you have if any come on? it sounds like a sensor has either malfunctioned or has done its job properly and picked up something wrong like, temp sensor, oxygen, oil pressure, mass air flow sensor etc. Either way when something is out of the norm form the sensor inputs to the bikes computer it will often limit the revs on the bike putting it into limp home mode to protect the engine.

I personally would be getting a mechanic to put it on a diagnostic machine. If the computer has caused the bike to go into limp mode, your mechanic will more than likely be able read a fault code from your computer to point you in the right direction as to the root cause of this fault.

http://www.bikefinds.com/husaberg-for-sale should give you a rough idea. if this bike is on ebay walk away (unless you can inspect it and pay and pick it up with the proper ownership). ebay is filled with scam auctions for motorcycles and motor vehicles.

Tapping sound on top end of engine

sounds like a piston noise, you may have a scoured cylinder, this is common on two strokes.

No problem just done top end rebuild

Just ride it normally. Avoid super high revs when the bike is not in gear and using the power.
