Replaced the 9v battery but the console doesn't light up when pedalling. It was working 3 weeks ago, but I left it out in the rain.
SOURCE: My boss dd-3 pedal only works with a 9v battery.
You will have to test the adapter with a volt ohm meter to make sure it is putting out the proper voltage. It should be as close to 9 volts as possible. Also make sure that thehole in the plug is negative and the outside is positive. Is it the right adapter? I don't have a schematic for this model but www.schematicheaven.com has one for a DD-2. Hopefully they haven't changed too much. If you decide to repair it yourself, check the adapter first then check for a bad solder joint where the adapter plug is soldered to the circuit board. Hope this helps somewhat.

On the bottom the bike frame their should be s# plate. If you need to replace the battery you need to: first remove the foot pedals, then side panels.
A 6v @ 2.5Ah battery should be in the frame
they sold run about $20.00 to $27.00 plus S/H

Some of these units have the main battery ( 6v @ 2.5AH ) inside the bike frame and a 9v in the backside of the upper console

Alternator .. very well could be. u may also have a paraistitic
drain on the battery. a quick and easy way to test is to use a test light and put the prong on the on the postive battery cable and ground it out to a clean bolt on the engine.
