I replaced the battery, ran it for about 40 minutes, while driving around the area the engine died. Added a little seafoam, jumped the battery (it caught immediately), ran it again, turned it off and it will not restart without a jump...

I think you need to have the BCM inspected or replaced if POSSIBLE .also, thoroughly inspect all wire connections, particularly in the regions where the mechanic had been handling the auxiliary battery. There could be a loose connection or any daamged wire

Ranger won,t start with charger after headlights on all night. what is the problem?

Maybe the deep discharge on battery trashed it and now it will not take a charge. Sure the charger is working? Give it enough time to charge the battery - at least five hours.

John Deere LA140 won't turn. New battery. No sound when I turn the key. No headlights, what should I do?

Check your connections at the battery. May have a bad ground or bad battery connection. Also check to make sure new battery is good by supplementing with a jump start. If new battery is good and connections are solid, you most likely have a broken wire somewhere. The lights may only work with the mower running though. I believe on my LA105 the lights only come on with the engine running and dim/brighten with the RPM of the engine.

Car ran good yesterday..won't start today..completely dead..no clicking when trying to start

Open hood and look at left side of engine compartment. Find the braid jumper going from engine block to fender. Grab hold and wiggle. It may be loose from corrosion at the fender end. If possible tighten. If not replace with a new heavy jumper from block to body of car. This a major design flaw since battery charging current and starter current is forced through this skimpy wire and connection. I replaced battery and alternator twice before discovering this defect.

We have a 1999 Sportster Custom 1200 cc. It started and ran fine when we put it away for the winter. Now we can not seem to get power to the starter or the headlight. Half of the gauges will come on and...

I would suspect a low battery, however I have to ask if this bike has a security system, as they cause problems, sometimes that mimic a low battery. Either way, I would put battery on charge, when it has a full charge, check for lights and starting. If it won't start, put a load tester on the battery checking for weak or dead cell.
