2008 suzuki c50 rear axle bolt installation

2008 suzuki boulevard c50 rear axle bolt does not fit. it is the factory length,but it is still about an inch short,and the shaft drive is on correct and the spacer fits good between the frame and the drum housing

Its under the rider's seat. You have to remove th seat.

It takes 10w40 oil and 3.2 qts for oil change only and 3.6 qts for oil and filter change.

dear bldrnr the proper oil weight for your bic depends on the climate where you ride 20/50 is recommended for hot climates 10/40 is recommended for average temps. jim

unbolt the passenger seat..the bolt is visable. Then you slip it apart from the main seat it will come apart from that strap. The main seat then has 2 bolts you can remove if you need to get it off.

Rear tire removal
Volusias (2004 and earlier): you will have to remove the "fake" frame section from the left side.
C50 Boulevards ('05 and up): simply remove the chrome plastic cap on the left side, using a thin screwdriver blade to pry it up at the small slot in the cap. Now, after removing the cotter pin, you can turn the axle while holding the axle nut with a wrench. Since the pipe is in the way, you can only drive the axle out with a long punch a little ways, but once it is started, you can pry the other end until you have a good grip on it; having the weight of the wheel supported helps a lot.
