When you turn the key to start does the starter engage an spin the engine ? or nothing happens .
the lights and music come on but the motor will not start when I turn the key ??????? Will not start how ?
crank - no - start or no crank no start . ????????
Is the battery dead? Check your battery condition and connections. Check your starter fuse from there. Check the connection to the starter then progress to the ignition side of the concern
I had the same problem. I found the main wire connect (under the speedometer) around the sterring column had came loose. Very hard to re-connect but when I did everything worked perfect.
i had to run a inline fuse on my bike with a 15 amp fuse, but there is a short somewhere. check all connections at solenoid make sure nothing is touching
Water around the plugs might stop it from firing, but should not affect the starter. Check the battery charge and condition--battery water level is fairly critical on these small batteries. Bring the water level up to the upper line in each cell with distilled water, not tap water. Put it on a low current charger for about 6-8 hours, then reinstall into the bike. Check the wires that go to the battery for corrosion or other damage. There should be a heavy fuse near the battery, check to see if blown. Check to see if you have any lights. If still nothing, test the battery at it's posts with a test light to see if it has charge. If nothing, it is time for a replacement. Hope this helps!
You probably have either a bad connection at the battery on the smaller wire that connects to the + terminal or you have a blown or a bad connection to a fuse strip. Fuse strip looks like this http://www.joetlc.com/strip-fuse-mercedes-benz-p-17216.html
