If you find a factory service manual, it will be for an 80 cubic inch (1340 cc) engine only. In 1991, all Big Twins came equipped with the 80 c.i. Evolution engine. The Twin Cam 88 c.i. (1450cc) engine didn't come out until 1999 in most of the Big Twin bikes and 2000 in the Softail bikes. Try this site for your manual. http://www.diyrepairmanuals.com/products.asp?cat=14142
The engine is a twin cam 88B, 88 Cubic inches which 1450cc or just about that. That Transmission is a 5 speed belt drive. I think that is what you are looking for if you need more email me at [email protected]. Thank you
Your bike came from the factory with H-D Syn3 synthetic 20W50 engine oil in the engine, primary, and the transmission. You bike takes three quarts in the oil tank. Always check your oil level with the dip stick when you change the oil. There are two marks on the stick. The top mark is "FULL HOT" and the lower mark is "FULL COLD". Keep the oil level between the two marks. Now, there are several manufacturers that make good oils for your bike. Mobil V-Twin, Amsoil, Royal Purple, Revtech and Motor Factory. All are good but check their websites for the recommended product.
i have the same bike and had a simalar problem i think by spraying gas in the throttle body somehow soaked the spark plugs i changed them and the bike started right up
