The GL1200 Aspencadefuel injection did not come with fuel injection. But a lot of those bikes have been piced togather from outher bikes.
The entire 1200 goldwing line had stator problems. First thing to check is the 3 yellow wires and the connector they have just to the left of the battery. Most people remove that connection and soder it after testing the stator. There is a complete checklist, along with alternative solutions at http://www.gl1200goldwings.com/ If you own a 1200, that is the best self help site for these bikes.
