Question about Yamaha Motorcycles
Hi Daniel the following information is courtesy of Road Star Clinic and written by Steve Graham
Once it's set, if you open the throttle you'll see the resistance across those wires climb between 4,000 to 6,000 Ohms. When you drop the throttle back to idle, it should return to the previously set reading (plus or minus 25 Ohms). It'll vary some, so don't sweat it if it doesn't return to exactly what you set it to.
Good luck and have a nice day.

the best way to do this is buy the aftermarket exhaust and keep the baffles in the exhaust and run it for 50 or so mile then pull out one of the plugs and if its gray you are fine if its white or black you will have to rejet

under the left side of the gas tank you will see i black knob/screw at the end of what looks like a hose. the knob faces the rear of bike. that adjusts the idle. its real easy to find and the only adjustment you can make to the carbs.

The oil filter is on the right side
under a cover with 3 screws in it.
Remove the covers and replace the filter
and the o-ring on the cover.
Watch which way it goes in
when removing it.
