SOURCE: engine management light
Engine management light was on permernantly after replacing battery, took advice and let bike idle until thermo fan started, turned bike off and let thermo fan stop, restarted bike and engine management light went off. this proceedure resets engine management system. GREAT ADVICE thanks.

obviously you have some wire crossed straight to the positive side coming off the battery.. (probably before the ignition) trace the wire back from the speedo to make sure.. i recommend getting a wiring diagram to speed the process and make life simple...
you messed with any of the electrical?

ok, first off is that when you "jump a bike" dont jump by car with engine running this can fry major componets second you can try the reboot but I do think you damaged one of the parts
