SOURCE: 92 honda cb 750, oil light will not go out, bike won't start

Look around the engine oil drain plug and fill area and see if there is an electric sending unit( small plug with a prong for a wire) that is screwed into the engine if so check to see if its unplugged / could be a low oil cut off switch that kills all power to the ignition if the oil is to low ( or the wire is unplugged)

SOURCE: best way to clean carbs on 94 750 honda, been

The best way to clean any carbs that have been sitting is to remove them from the engine and carefully disassemble, one at a time, clean everything with a spray on carb cleaner. Pay attention to "varnish" dried gas that looks amber on the metallic parts. This causes the jets to not seat properly and the float to stick, patience and doing on thing at a ime makes it easy to put things back together.

1982 750 Nighthawk fuel gauge does not work. Fuse is ok. Inspected and cleaned inner fuel meter. Plug possibly?

check to see if the float on the arm has a hole in it. If it fills up with fuel it will make it seem like it is always empty.

1992 honda nighthawk 750 wont stay on and when i rev the gas handle, it turns off. do i need to change the fuel filter or jett the carbs?

sounds like you have to clean out the carbys. you should be able to at least drain them without taking them apart.

I have a 85 gsxr 750 running rich on the left

Hi Chris,
You will have to recheck the float level (in the float chamber) of those two carburators, reset if necessary.
You may also have to reset the air-mixture screw for both of those carbs. Standard procedure to set htem is tighten them all the way in making sure not to over tighten to avoid damaging the sharp end of the screw, and thn to open 2 and a half to 3 turns.
You can thn reset them as the engine is running + -- either way.
Hope this helps!

1991 Honda 750 Nighthawk...been running great. Hadn't ridden it much last 30 days or so...got on it tonight, noticed a sluggish throttle. Initially, there was slight black smoke coming from the exhaust....

carb. needs to be rebuilt sounds like trash in the float body or in the needles try using some sea foam in the gas tank (if u get it to start again) it has probably fouled out the plugs

Carberator gas bowl drain tube leaks gas. Screw is tight. Sorry I couldn't find an atv category.

The float is stuck open. Remove the carb, remove the bowl then clean the carb with spray carb cleaner.

Fuel leaking from carb vent tube on newly cleaned carburetor

that would be either the float set to high or the needle and seat is missing an o-ring while you had it apart. Should look at getting a carb kit there only approx. 23 bucks and it would save you a lot of grief in the long run.
