First off did you buy it new? Second has it gone through its break in tune up yet?Did you do the re jeting? My guess is it was re jeted wrong & neeeds to be re jeted again or could also need more air(upgraded air kit) or a tfi or power comand fuel mod.My bike also poped untill I did the air & fuel upgrades & them upgrades will also give you a much needed house power needed for this rig.
Bring it to a shop & have it looked at.......
Good luck

not sure here as never changed them i just fit a set of pipes from motor auto factor then remove them for the annual inspection which i would advise you to do but you have to be carefull here as the police will pull you up and do a roadside check if the bike sounds too noisy then they will impound the bike till a fine is paid and then it can only be released to a authorised dealer for repair ,but this is spain plus the tow truck charges on top of the fine .I bought two pipes for my 1981 kawasaki 750 for 100 euros each and welded them on but the pipes were italian made and came with a certificate of homoglonation to present when i take the bike for its annual inspection ,and from what i remember they were welded on the other end as well as i had to cut a bit off so they fitted the wider down pipe of my bike. You have to be so carefull nowdays in any country as they are politically correct and noise polution is something a local traffic cop can make his quota of nicks up to keep the boss happy .
