Where can I find an owners manual online for a 2006 tank vison 250? when it starts it sounds like it's going to die and if I use the choke it idles way too high. Any input would be appreciated.

If you believe all the above mentioned are good, I would check the neutral switch (believe the 250 has one), which cuts off the engine at increasing rpm if not working correctly. Sensor tells computer if the transmission is in neutral to avoid the over rotation in the engine.

Sounds like the fuel pump is going out. Replace the filter first, as it's only $10. If that doesn't fix it, then it's probably the pump, which is $250.
