How do i find starter solenoid on 04 intruder 800?

Could be a bad relay and they are easy enough to rest. The problem with bikes is corrosion. Involved in starting, is the battery, the battery connections, the starter button, the relay, and the starter solenoid and its connections. Break all the connections, clean with a wire brush until shiny, smother them with Vaseline and do them back up. Vaseline stops oxidization and also transmits electricity. Low battery voltage, bad connection, bad starter solenoid, bad starter, locked up motor. You will need to do some trouble shooting to figure out what issue you have, but these are the most common.

Check battery, check connections corrosion causes bad connection. Double check starter button switch, it may be bad. You may be able to verify this switch by "jumper" bypass of the switch..

it could be the switch itself, also check the starter solenoid under the seat. if those are both fine check the wires under the tank and make sure you're getting a good connection.

If you push the starter button and the solenoid clicks, the button is good. Take a wire and jump the two posts on the solenoid or touch the two cables together. If your starter works, then you need a new solenoid. If you hold the starter button and tap on the starter with a plastic hammer and the starter works you need new starter brushes. Anything else wrong with the starter and you need to replace the starter assembly , unless the manufacturer sells replacement parts so you can repair the starter. most manufacturers only sell replacement starter brushes.
