Changed fuel filter and ran normal 20 miles before doing the same. I now suspect the fuel pump may be losing power after getting warm.
Do you have any codes in the ECM ? Have you checked for any vacuum leaks ? Can you add more detail information as to when it first began to have issues and what have you done to correct this problem.
98 Escort ran good til yesterday.Checked for vacuum leak & changed fuel filter.Check engine lite not on after starting car.

Changed relay,fuel filter,and no codes.Also having problem fueling up now.Could these problems come from evap canister?

the owner probably rerouted the fuel line because like my 92 chrysler lebaron v6 3.0 the fuel lines keep seeming to come off and the clamps always break. I have replaced the clamps 5 times in a month and replaced filters 2 times in 2 months. The only thing i could think of is that your fuel is being cut off possibly because there is no filter to clean all the junk out. Try putting a fuel filter on and see if that will work

Shouldn't cost much for 10 minutes work to test fuel pressure & confirm pump condition, but do it when vehicle 's been running for a while, long enough for pump to get heated up.

I had the same problem, took to a benz dealer, it was the fuel pump relay, cost for repair $200.

Who ever thought of putting an electric fuel pump inside a tank of gas........
Check your other gauges for accuracy. They do that when a ground is loose.
Check the wiring from the fuel tank along the longitudinal frame for frays and shorts. Plugs are secured.
Under the hood, passenger side, check the fuel pump relay. Switch it with one of the others to test it.
Bring the vehicle to an auto parts store. Ask them to break out he code reader. Check for diag codes

Are you able to hear the pump running and shoting off while driving ? Could be a simple fuel pump relay.
Thanks for comment.Could not hear pump running anytime.Now have problems putting gas in tank.Problems maybe evap system?
