Looking for location of battery in LifeFitness C9i exercise bike. (C7i battery was in control panel, earlier models may have been in the base.) Thanks!

The Life Fitness 9500HR Eliptical had the battery in the base:

How do you access the battery for replacement? I cannot find a repair manual online for the 9500HR elliptical.

    Answer:
On the front/bottom, you pop open the plastic casing around the pipe. (I just used a large screwdriver)
You then just unplug the old battery, plug in the new, tuck the wires back in and pop the plastic casing back on.
Again it's the plastic casing below the main "pipe frame", and above the stabilizing cross pipes.

You will need a long screwdriver to remove screws in the front that hold the batter compartment closed. There is a youtube video that shows you how to replace the battery athttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xli32lMi... It is not hard to do.

The bottom front of elliptical machine unscrews on both sides- need Allen wrench and Philips I believe. It was really tough to remove and very akward position. You- tube it. Changed my battery and unit works great.

You have to flip the elliptical on the side and the battery is under. The battery is held by 2 screws and the cable that connect it to the machine's board. Good luck.

How do replace the battery in Lifecycle C9i exercise

The web site above states the following:

The 9 volt battery for the display on the bars of the bicycle goes in underneath the display (on the bottom of it).You can also see the 7th page (pages are not numbered, simply scroll to the 2nd to last page) of the manual at the link below to see where the battery installs:

https://www.lifefitness.es/static-assets/document/manuals/C9iAssemblyInstructions_12-07-05.pdf

Testimonial: "Thanks for the input, however that battery location is for the C7i not the C9i. Step 9, which covers the battery installation specifically says C7i Only. As well as the fact that in that compartment for the C9i there is currently no battery or 9-volt connector. Cheers."

When I checked the LifeFitness website, a popup advisor switched me to a fee-based answering service that was $5 just to get started, then $20 to complete the answer. Ridiculous!

Same Battery number and picture shown for C7i, so indeed someone put wrong picture for C9i on their web site using C7i picture.

Yeah, no battery up there, just a circuit board and connectors. I found it though by disassembling the "shroud." The battery is at the front of the base of the bike, and the replacement battery really looks like this:https://www.sportsmith.net/itemform.aspx... Thanks for the input and the encouragement, it got me going to dig into the beast!

SOURCE: edge 491 exercise bike monitor panel dead

http://www.academy.com/images/pdf/Fitness_Quest/Edge_Recumbent_Bike_491r.pdf

Mine went dead last Spring. I ordered a replacement part from Fitness Quest. I think the link is above. Actually, while I was waiting for the part, I reconnected all the wires on the whole bike and the panel worked. So I actually have an extra new working panel if Fitness Quest doesn't have the part for some reason and u want mine. Double check ALL the connections of the wires first. They come loose easily.

SOURCE: I have an Edge 491 Exercise bike and the control

Take a look at the battery compartment under the panel (left looking up). I had a similar problem and had just fixed it. Hopefully you can get the same results.
If the strip of metal with the spring is corroded, take the batteries out, and carefully remove the metal strip. I used metal duct tape and wrapped the piece of metal with the tape. Carefully put a slight bend in the middle of the strip and reinsert the strip. If the batteries do not connect up, bend the piece a bit more or add more of the metal duct tape. After doing this, the panel came back to life. If this is not your problem, then my apologies. If it is, then good luck.

SOURCE: Lifefitness 9500hr recumbant exercise bike dead

This unit takes a special 6 volt battery. The battery is in one of two places. First place to look is under the unit. If you lay the bike over on its side there is an opening in the covers. If the battery is not there then you will need to take one of the side covers off. When you get the side off you cannot miss it. The battery is black with three cylinders. You can get the battery from sportsmith.net.

SOURCE: Trying to replace the battery

Tilt the bike on its side, remove mounting screws securing the battery to the bracket. Remove the battery just enough to access and disconnect the black (neg) wire from the (-) terminal and the red (pos) wire form the (+) terminal. Replace battery and reverse procedure when installing battery hope this helps you and please vote for me

Lifefitness F1 Treadmill control panel not working

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Lifefitness F1 Treadmill console. Based on the information you've provided, it seems like there might be a problem with the console itself. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Check the power source: Ensure that the treadmill is properly plugged into a working power outlet. You mentioned that there is power going to the control panel, so this step seems to be fine in your case.
2. Reset the treadmill: Locate the reset switch or circuit breaker on the treadmill, typically located near the power cord. Press the reset switch or reset the circuit breaker to see if it resolves the issue. Give it a few seconds before trying to power on the treadmill again.
3. Check the console connection: Open the console and inspect the wiring connections between the console and the treadmill. Ensure that all cables are securely connected and there are no loose or damaged wires. If you find any loose connections, reattach them firmly.
4. Contact customer support: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's recommended to contact Lifefitness customer support directly. They can provide specific troubleshooting advice for your treadmill model or arrange for a technician to inspect and repair your console.
Remember to refer to the user manual or contact customer support for model-specific instructions and support. They can offer further guidance and assistance based on the specific details of your Lifefitness F1 Treadmill.

I have a C9I exercise bike Battery is dead where is it and how do I get it out

It appears that your battery box is on the back of the console. Look around under the console for a battery box and it should open easily and take a 9 volt battery.

If the battery continues to fail, I would check the alternator brushes and see if they need to be replaced. Chances are they are worn and the battery is not being recharged sufficiently.
