I took out the whole ignition from my zuma 125 and took it the a locksmith. They made me a new set of keys for less than $50. Or you can order a new ignition thru Yamaha with the key set. That may cheaper than the locksmith.

Because you wet components that do not take lightly to water.
Let it dry out and see what happens. If the dry out does not do the trick then you have inadvertently damaged some components in bike's electrical system.
