Look in your Service Manual for info on the Solenoid. It's a switch that operates the Starter. I don't know where it's located on your gsxr. Make sure cables are tight. You may be able to check the solenoid by jumping it out by connecting a wire between two connections on the solenoid itself.
ur bikes wiring needs thuro inspection for cuts corrosion and bad connections--smoke probly commin from these issues and a clic can be a loose wire or failin starter
