Its nothing to do with the damper
The battery may not be accepting charge due to its age or condition (although as u can bump it soon after it sounds ok). Check this out with a charger & meter
There may be a bad or dirty connection somewhere between the alternator & regulator/rectifier or from there to the battery
It could also be a defective alternator winding or regulator/rectifier unit

Im riding K8 GSXR 600. Ive ride about 7000km for the last 3 months. and now the problem hit my ride. so when we check the voltage while the engine running is about 11.6V to 11.8V. They say the rectifier has given away. it seems common for K8 600 as several bike same model has the same problem. question is, what can be done to prevent the rectifier to get faulty again. any idea kah guru?

This happend to my K6 600, its a common fault, the regulator/rectifier overheats and fails (due to poor loacation), thus will not charge the battery, but in-doing this the reg will send a overcharge to the alternator... and in about 3months time the alternator will give way to, speaking from experience
