Spark plug wires are in wrong order in 1979 3.8 V6 Buick Regal need help there all mixed up had them right I think at first but I second guessed myself. Do know my firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2.

theres no distributor and the firing order for your 3.8 is 1-6-5-4-3-2-the following link shows the coil pack

To get it right the first time, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.

The firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2 and number 1 piston is front driver's side. On the distributor number 1 is at 9 o'clock and rotation is clockwise. Hope this helps.

you might have bad plug wires replace wires and saprk plugs
