My xt1200z 2010 has an almost unrideable problem of jerking as if running out of fuel causing severe kicking back on the drive shaft to the extent that I fear damage it also falters so badly when, say, leaving a junction that on a turn it could stall and fall. I've had it to the dealer and they say there is no problem. It is better in the cold but just been out in mild weather and it was so bad that anyone normal would have stopped and called the breakdown company. I even had to buy another bike last summer as it was so bad but fooled myself in the cold weather that it had cured its self.

If you park your vehicle for a long time, you run the risk of having contaminated fuel in the tank. This happened to a car my wife purchased, and it was the last thing I found. It proved to be the problem. What you need to do is remove the fuel from the tank and then have the tank flushed. Fill it with fresh fuel and replace the fuel filter.

I would try insoluating the fuel lines anywhere they go past hot parts.I would also run some fuel cleaner in with a few tanks of gasoline. It has done wonders on my truck of 189k. Lean or no fuel related problem do not set codes. Too much unburned fuel sets codes.

check all vacuum lines to make sure none of them are off especially the one behind the throttle body and also try some STP gas treatment in the gas tank make sure you have aleast a half a tank of gas when adding it and then finish filling it up
