Why are my 2003 Yamaha R1 right side blinkers not working?

I have replaced the integrated tail light with a new one and replaced the flasher relay and both have resulted in the same outcome. Both front and rear blinker only on the right side fail to illuminate.

Have you checked the fuses? The fuse box is located on the left side of the bike, behind the fairing at about knee height. Check each fuse. There is a label inside the cover as a guide. I think your bike has separate fuses for left and right sides.

The fast blinking means that the new bulb is not any good. Try putting in another bulb. If that does not take care of it, then it could be your blinker switch.

Just found the answer on another site. Sure enough went out removed the 3 philips head screws in the steering column opened it up and walla a wire connection had pulled itself free. When my son uses my truck he always uses the tilt steering, when I get in I have to readjust it. because of this the wire connection pulled itself out. I simply pushed it back in an blinker and brake light are now working. My husband is now trying to figure a way to secure the wire connection so it doesn't pull itself out again. Hope this helps others, either by saving the cost of a dealership or machanic or from getting rear ended.

Were is the fuse for the right blinker in a 2003 gmc envoy

Hey Derrick,
I do not think the blinkers have a "right" and "left" fuse...Its usually a flasher/blinker relay.
Try replacing the bulbs.. make sure their sockets are clean and able to hold the bulbs tight. If you are not getting both right side blinkers to work and you know both bulbs are good, the switch in the column may be the culprit.

The tail lights do not work. The headlights, blinkers, and brake lights work. I checked the fuses and they are all good.

It can be faulty tail light bulb or its issue with tail light control switch or its wiring's are short.

Check the voltage at fuse slot of tail light.Do you receive 12 volt there. If not, then it says tail light switch is not receiving power supply.

Blikers only work with running lights off

You have the tail light you just installed wired wrong or if the new tail light is a LED tail light your looking at the LED's possibly not drawing enough power to make the flasher work. change the flasher to a LED specific one.

I have a 1978 yamaha xs750 special. The blinkers worked fine on the left, then I hooked up the right side blinkers and nothing. The front right worked well until I hooked up all blinkers, now front right...

I used to have a 76 XS500. Got lots of compliments with that bike.
The wattage of the bulbs is important on how the blinkers work. The rate they flash, and if they flash is dependant on the current being drawn from the lights. Thats why many times if you have one light out the remaining light may stay on solid or flash faster.
You could try removing one bulb on each side and see if the blinkers work. Then reinsert and remove the other remaining bulbs. If they work normally with one bulb in each side whether front or rear then I would suspect the flasher relay.
Say the fronts work when the rear are out and the rear don't work when the fronts are out then I would suspect either the bulbs or sockets or your solder connection or switch.

You may also look into an electronic flasher. They automaticaly adjust for variable loads to flash so they flash at a normal rate.
