Yes, you need to tune the carbs, by adjusting the low and high speed jets. there should be to slotted screws on the carbs, this is an older m/c, that is the set up. start bike and try tuning them. the carbs may need cleaning if you cant adjust

You are on the right track with the fuel system. Maybe the fuel filter, There is one in the tank also, I think. Try running on reserve if you have it.

How do I adjust the carb?

there are two screws on the outside of the carb the bigger one with knurling on it is the idle control screw the other one is the air to fuel control screw. It may be necessary to adjust both but try the idle screw first. It may need more adjustments as it warms up. Just mess with it until it idles thr way you want it. Hope this helps.

I HAVE A 2000 1500 GOLD WING ONE SLIDE ON THE LEFT IS MOVING AND THE OTHER IS NOT AT HIGH REV. IT DOES NOT MOVE?

Not sure what you mean by a slide moving, but it sounds like a carb based issue. Carb balancing needs to happen at idle, like most people know, but ALSO at 2500 or so, actuated by throttle control. Balancing at the higher speed makes your machine run tons better and last longer.

1964 5 1/2 hp evinrude kills at high speed

You should have a High Speed carb adjust and a Low Speed carb adjust. If it's running fine while idling, adjust the high speed setting. If you have two nobs, its the lower one. May be set wrong. If you don't have two nobs, remove the carburator and check the jets to make sure they are completely clean or better yet, order yourself a carb rebuild kit to take care of all of this. I just rebuilt my 1971 evinrude 4hp and the carb kit made the world of difference.

My 1971 ts250 wont idle, it runs fine at higher RPM's but i have to choke it to start it and rev it to keep it running. ive cleaned the carb 3 times since spring and cant figure it out.

i fixed the problem simply by adjustingthe screws on th side of the carb. my dad had messed with it for an hour or so the day before... the next day he left town and after i spent 15 minutes or so dinking aroud it ran and idled fine. (of course if u ask him he got it close for me.) ( ;
