The bendix is sticky. Remove it and you will see a helix with a cog on it. clean it with gas and a brush or MAF Cleaner. Dry it and add a little light machine oil.

your carburator is flooding . letting petrol runnining into combustion chamber and then past rings into crankcase mixes with oil. Happend to me to could not believe that was possible myself . replace float needle and fit a feul filter if needed.
Have u checked to see if your getting spark? Quick way to do so is remove the spark plug and hold it by the sparkpkug boot against the cylinderhead and crank the engine. You should be getting a spark if everything is functioning properly.
it would make it easyer to life the tank if only to get at the 2 center plugs there a real pain to get out and in again, a good service is never a wast of time as the bike need it by the sounds of it
There should be a bolt towards the bottom of the tank. You will have to remove Your seat to see it. Undo the bolt and slide it out. Shut off the (petcock) fuel valve first. You don't need to take off the fuel line. There should be 2 other hoses under it aswell. You may need to reconnect them if they come off.
