Gilera dna oil light and also rev counter.

The oil light on my gilera dna comes on whenevr i slow to a stop. whenever it idles it stays on but whenever i build the revs it goes off, so i think the oil pressure is dropping at idle....for some reason :S also ther is a winding/ticking coming from the engine and i think it is the rev counter?? the revs seem to fluctuate dramatically.... any ideas you can provide on this would be great, thanks.

Have you had an oil gauge on the line to check what pressure you are running at? You may want to try running a heavier oil in the engine. If you are running a synthetic oil switch back to ester oil. If this does not remedy the problem then a new oil pump will be the fix

15w-40 or 20w-50..... Try those for a baseline... DO NOT put any aditives in with the oil. Make sure that you are running a motorcycle oil, Motul is a great brand I have used it for years in several different bikes & have had zero problems with it.

Hi my gilera dna 125 made a screeching noise than just cut out when i try to start the bike up it wont stay running and when you rev it the wheel don't spin

It sounds like you have heat seized the motor for a second this will have scored the barrel and is why it is not running right

Gillera dna ticks over, minate u rev it cuts out

If it has a manual choke pull it out to rev, if it does its starving, low fuel / crud in fuel / old fuel / blocked jets in carby.

My Gilera 125cc Dna keeps cutting out at high revs? Any ideas?

If you are requiring more fuel and it isn't getting there, look for a clogged fuel filter. Also check air filter and carb float bowl for crud build up from gasolin.

what do you mean it slows down, then speeds back up, is this when riding or is it when the engines idling?
